Caroline Barnes

As a licensed Civil Engineer, Caroline’s specialty moved from traditional open channel hydraulics to ecohydraulics and water quality. Certified in River Restoration by Portland State University, trained in Applied River Morphology by Wildland Hydrology, and supported by graduate study at the University of Washington, Caroline earned the Educator of the Year Award given by the Washington Teachers Association while working with Seattle University in the science program for leadership training (Splash*) in middle school students.

Splash was originated in 1988 by MIT's student-run Educational Studies Program (ESP)
